Heatran at Stark Mountain
After you become Sinnoh Champion, the story takes you to the Fight Area and Stark Mountain. Once the Magma Stone is safe, a side quest lets you battle
Heatran itself. Win, and Heatran starts roaming Sinnoh, where you can catch it.

Return the Magma Stone. Bring it back down to
Buck on the Stark Mountain map and give it to him. This finishes the story part and starts the side quest Battle Heatran.
Give the Magma Stone back to Buck on the Stark Mountain map. -
Battle Heatran. Go back up to the hidden chamber (Stark Mountain Hidden). Heatran is now awake. It is a single level 120
Heatran and it cannot be caught in this battle.Bring strong Ground, Water or Fighting moves. Heatran is Fire and Steel, so Ground moves are 4 times as effective. Do not use Fire moves: this Heatran has Flash Fire, which absorbs them.

Win the battle. Heatran roars and flees. You receive 10,000 F, and Heatran now roams Sinnoh.
Finding the roaming Heatran
Section titled “Finding the roaming Heatran”A roaming Pokémon moves between maps.
-
Open the tracker. Open the Roaming Pokemon Tracker (one of the icons at the top right of the screen) to see where Heatran is right now.
-
Go to that map. Look for Heatran in the grass or caves.

Roaming Heatran is a normal wild encounter, so you can catch it. It can also drop Blaze Coins.
After the quest: Heatran boss
Section titled “After the quest: Heatran boss”Once you have beaten the level 120 Heatran, a second Heatran appears in the same chamber as a weekly boss. It only accepts your challenge if you have a Heatran in your party, and it fights with a full level 100 team on a difficulty you choose. See Bosses and high-level battles.
