NPC Pokémon trades
Some NPCs trade with you. They take a Pokémon from your party and give you a different Pokémon or an item in return. This page lists every one of them by region, with what they want and whether you can trade again.
How NPC trades work
Section titled “How NPC trades work”Talk to the trader with the Pokémon they want in your party. Traders work in one of two ways:
- Traders that ask for a species check your party themselves. Only Pokémon that meet their level and “caught by you” rules count. You need exactly as many of those as they ask for, plus at least one other Pokémon. Anything the traded Pokémon was holding goes back to your Bag.
- Traders that let you pick show the Pokémon in your party that qualify, and you choose one. You need at least 2 Pokémon in your party, and they never take a Pokémon that is holding an item.
“Caught by you” means you are the Pokémon’s original trainer, so a Pokémon you got from another player does not count. The Pokémon a trader gives you is level 1, and you are its original trainer.
Repeatable traders swap again every time you bring what they want. The others trade once.
