Shops and currencies

PBO has one main money, F, and a long list of tokens, ores and shards that you earn from particular activities and spend at their own traders. This page covers how to earn each one and what every trader sells.

Veilstone Super Mart has most token traders in one room.

At a glance

• Main money: F. Shops only take the money in your hand, not money in an ATM.
• Token traders: the four big Super Marts, Global Terminal 1F in Jubilife City, and Hearthome City
• Seasonal traders: open all year, in Sandgem Town, on Global Terminal 1F and in Veilstone Super Mart
• Sell items: the Item Buyer in Sandgem’s Mart, the Rockshore City PokeMart and most Marts in Hoenn and Kanto
• Donator Shop: the Donator Store button in the player panel (bottom left)

The stock tables are built from the game’s files. A few costumes and mounts that some traders sell are not listed.

Money (F)

Money pays for Poké Mart items, teleports, the Trade House, the casino and more. The quickest ways to earn it are on the making money page.

• Carry the money you want to spend. Shops, the Trade House and the casino only use the money in your hand, not money stored in an ATM.
• ATMs let you deposit and withdraw in steps of 500, 10,000 or 100,000 F. Some ATMs only work with PBO Membership; others, such as the one in Hearthome City and the one in the Veilstone Game Corner, are open to everyone.
• Losing a battle costs very little. Once you have 3 Sinnoh badges, blacking out drops 1% of the money you carry, never more than 100 F.

Poké Marts

Every Poké Mart in a region sells the same goods. More of them appear as you collect badges. In Hoenn and Kanto the unlocks count your Sinnoh badges, not that region’s badges.

The buy window sorts the Mart's stock from A to Z.

Each trader below is an NPC you talk to. The window shows how many of the currency you carry, and the price of each item. Items marked with months only appear in those months.

Blaze Coin Shop

Dynite Ore Shop

Dynite ore comes from Dynamax Invasions. The shop sells battle held items such as Metronome, Light Clay, Red Card and the four terrain seeds, IV and ability items, and a Treasures of Ruin chest that changes with the months.

Goodwill Token rewards players who use items that help other players too.

1. Earn tokens. Use one of the items below, or donate money to a priest from the top-right panel.
2. Collect them. Talk to the Goodwill Token Rewarder to collect the tokens you have earned.
3. Spend them. Visit the Goodwill Token Trader in the same Pokémon Center.

An item counts as soon as you use it. A priest donation counts once the blessing it paid towards has started.

Dragon Ball Shop

1. Find Dragon Balls. Dragon Ball is hidden on random outdoor maps every few hours, like Blaze Chests: walk onto the right tile to pick one up (see hidden items).
2. Go to the cave. The Eterenal Dragon Cavern is reached from Solaceon Town.
3. Spend them. The Dragon Ball Shop sells mounts and costume bundles.

Dragon Balls can be traded.

The Donator Shop

The Donator Shop sells items for Donator Gems. Open it with the Donator Store button in the player panel (bottom left).

The Donator Shop's Boosts tab sells Membership and global experience boosts; the Premium Game Pass is on the General tab.

Getting gems:

• Donate to PBO through the shop’s Get Gems button.
• Open a Gem Box, an item that adds gems when opened, so you can buy gems from other players.
• Reach the few Game Pass levels that give gems.
• Earn ranked ladder rewards.

What it sells:

• The Premium Game Pass and PBO Membership
• Boosts: global experience boosts, the Premium Lure, the Swarm Flute, the Shiny Charm and the Item Bomb
• Extra PC storage boxes and fishing rod modules
• Gem Boxes
• Costumes, mounts and mood packs (see mounts and costumes)

All of it is optional. What each boost does is on Game Pass and Membership.

The shop has seven tabs down its right side: General, Boosts, Customization, Pokémon, Mounts, Add Ons and Card Styles. It opens on General.

The Card Styles tab shows the card styles sold for Gems, each with its price, or Owned once it is yours, then an All styles tile. Press a style to open the Card style picker on it, or All styles to open it on your default style; you preview and buy styles there. Closing the picker brings you back to the shop. You need a Pokémon in your party to open the picker.

The Card Styles tab lists the card styles you can buy with Gems.

Selling items

Talk to the Item Buyer in Sandgem’s Mart, the Rockshore City PokeMart, or most Marts in Hoenn and Kanto to sell items for money. The buyer pays the same everywhere.
