Sinnoh side quests

Sinnoh is where your adventure starts, and many of its side quests unlock things you will use for the rest of the game: Riolu, Gible, Heatran and the lake trio. The guides below give full solutions, so they contain spoilers.

  1. Do Wayward Cave early. Go as soon as you have 100 Pokémon caught: it opens the way to Gible.
  2. Clear the Lost Tower ghosts. You need 6 badges, and its Odd Keystone is one of the two you need for Nuzbar Village in Jvaloh.
  3. Combine two Iron Island quests. Riley’s Lucario and the Sableye that starts the Ethereal Wisps are both in the Iron Island caves (7 badges), so do them on the same trip.
  4. Become Sinnoh Champion. Then do Heatran, followed by the Legendary Caverns (200 caught). The boss chamber of the Lake Acuity run also holds an Ethereal Wisp.
