Find King Bisharp (Leader's Crest)

Bisharp evolves into Kingambit with a Leader's Crest, and this quest is the only way to get one. Prove your Bisharp to a researcher on Jvaloh’s Champions Road, then find the King Bisharp hiding in Hoenn and beat it.

  • Your Bisharp: Pawniard lives in Champions Road #4 and #5 in Jvaloh (Ultra Rare) and evolves into Bisharp at level 52. Train the Bisharp to level 100. It only has to be in your party; it does not have to fight.
  • Your team: King Bisharp’s team is level 100. Until you are Hoenn Champion, Pokémon caught in Sinnoh or Jvaloh fight at level 45 at most in Hoenn, even with all 8 badges. Become Champion first, or bring Pokémon you caught in Hoenn. See levels in wild and NPC battles.
  1. Show your Bisharp to Blaze’s Aide. Go to Champions Road #5 in Jvaloh with your level 100 Bisharp in your party. Talk to Blaze's Aide and answer Yes when he asks if you have mastered Bisharp. He tells you of a King Bisharp hidden somewhere in Hoenn, and your Bisharp stays with you. Tracker quest: Find King Bisharp.

  2. Climb to the top of Mt. Pyre. In Hoenn, go up Mt. Pyre to Mt. Pyre (Summit). The Hoenn walkthrough shows the way.

  3. Find the hidden entrance. Walk to the small clearing at the far west of the summit and follow it south to its narrow southern tip. Stepping onto the last two tiles takes you into the Leader’s Den. Nothing marks the spot, and it only works with 8 Hoenn badges.

  4. Challenge King Bisharp. Four Bisharp patrol the den around King Bisharp. If you skipped Blaze’s Aide, a message stops you: “It’s not safe at all to go any further right now!” With the Aide’s step done and your Bisharp in your party, talk to King Bisharp to start the battle.

  5. Claim the crest. Win the battle and King Bisharp gives you the Leader's Crest. Use it on a Bisharp to evolve it into Kingambit; see Evolution methods.

You can win this battle once, so you get one Leader’s Crest.

The Leader’s Den also holds one of the hidden wisps from the Ethereal Wisps quest.

All six are level 100.
